Take a moment to remind yourself that in
order to be good at being anyone else's boss
(or consultant, or colleague, or relationship
partner) you must be an effective boss to
yourself.
You may have had complaints about other
people who have served as your boss, but what
kind of boss are you to yourself? Would you
describe yourself as effective?
Just to start the inquiry:
1. Do you have a clear idea of the outcome
you want yourself to deliver each day/each
moment?
2. Do you give clear directives to yourself
through your self talk?
3. Do you talk to yourself with a tone that
makes you motivated and appreciated rather
than feel criticized and drained?
If you don't act each day with this kind of
intentionality, this kind of clarity, and
this kind of self motivation, here's
a 2-part video (approx 4 min.) that will
give you a new way of thinking about how to
be an effective boss to yourself.
(That's right, for those of you who guessed
it, here's a 'back to basics' refresher on
the idea that your thoughts are 'Captain's
Orders". Be the Captain!)
P.S. If you want to know more (and I mean
much much more!) about how to be an
effective boss to yourself, how to make each
of your 60,000 thoughts a day work for you
not against you, and how to have the success
you seek at your "Horizon Point", then
stay tuned for an important announcement in
my next newsletter. Soon, I"ll be offering
